SOLUTION ONE

Understanding what is a good toothbrush instead of an ok toothbrush

I have personally come to understand that a good toothbrush goes a long way in fighting tooth decay. If you do not want to end up with a hole in your teeth, you should take your choice of toothbrushes seriously. Brushing your teeth helps to remove the bacteria that cause tooth decay. These bacteria are found in plaque, and it produces acids that can harm the enamel and lead to tooth decay.  Now, when selecting the best toothbrush, there are a lot of options to choose from. You have to be careful that what you’re going for will help in reducing tooth decay.

Generally, it has been determined that electric toothbrushes are the best, especially for fighting tooth decay. They provide superior plaque removal to manual toothbrushes because they work with a rotation oscillation action. Electric toothbrushes offer you with all the necessary cleaning actions you need. A recommendable electrical toothbrush product is the Oral-B Genius-X-Luke. This toothbrush has been clinically proven always to deliver a superior cleaning effect. Some amazing tooth decay fighting features that are in this product are:

  • Several brushing modes to choose from
  • Oscillating/pulsating and cupping, Oscillating/rotating or sonic technology
  • Pressure sensors to signal how hard you’re brushing

SOLUTION TWO

Brush with the right fluoride based toothpaste

Just like using the right toothbrush is paramount in fixing tooth decay, making use of the right toothpaste is also very important! After eating or drinking, it is required of you to brush your teeth with a fluoride-based toothpaste, fluoride-based toothpaste helps in keeping your teeth clean and removes the plaque that causes tooth decay. The fluoride found in toothpaste is a mineral that prevents our teeth from decaying. It also reverses the tooth decay process! This is due to the ability of fluoride-based toothpaste to reduce the acid making tendencies of bacteria, prevent mineral losses in tooth enamel and also replace lost minerals. You should note that brushing at least twice daily with fluoride-based toothpaste is highly recommended.

I would personally recommend the crest pro-health clean mint toothpaste (Crest pro-health clean mint). This product has worked well for me in my battles against tooth decay and cavities. It is also highly recommended by dental health experts. The product mentioned earlier is the first and only leading toothpaste accepted by the American Dental Association (ADA) to protect against tooth decay and several other teeth related problems. Fluoride-based is a product you can trust to save your teeth from decay!

SOLUTION THREE

Flossing and rinsing with mouthwash

Finally, I advise that you go ahead to floss your teeth and rinse your mouth with mouthwash every day. It is not enough to brush with a fluoride-based toothpaste. You also have to complement it with the “floss and rinse” routine. Proper flossing helps to remove harmful plaque and particles of food in corners that a toothbrush might not reach (between the teeth and beneath the gum line). Daily flossing ensures that there is no build of plaque. There are generally two types of floss, the monofilament floss, and the nylon floss. Either one of these flosses can be used in plaque removal, so far as the flossing process is carried out correctly.

Now, it is also essential that you accompany teeth flossing with the rinsing of the mouth using Mouthwash. The Mouthwash applied in rinsing should be fluoride-based. I make use of the Listerine total care mouthwash for my daily rinsing routine. It has proven to be highly effective in fighting against tooth decay. The Canadian Dental Association validates the product, and it is guaranteed to clean 100% of your mouth! In the fight to reverse tooth decay, rinsing the mouth with fluoride-based mouthwash is needed because brushing and flossing alone cannot do the trick.
