SOLUTION ONE
Nike Training Club
SOLUTION TWO
Peleton
SOLUTION THREE
The Sculpt Society
SOLUTION ONE
Nike Training Club
NAME: Nike Training Club
PRICE: $14.99 month
EQUIPMENT: Light weights, heavy weights, resistance bands, full gym equipment
SPACE NEEDED: Varies on the workout 6 feet x 6 feet, fitness gym, runnning path
TYPES OF WORKOUTS: Muscle groups, endurance, strength, flexibility, whiteboard
BACKGROUND: Nike has been synonymous with workouts since inception and has also managed to create trends including the workout app, which launched in 2009. Based on the purpose of guidance and motivation Nike has a really good layout for a workout app and lots of features and workouts to choose from.
WHY WE LIKE IT: The Nike Training Club app is great for a workout app under twenty dollars for many reasons, but we will start with this one. The user interface design is unique and smart. It groups workouts into Muscle Group, Workout Focus, and Equipment and a quick dropdown menu allows you to further filter workouts to meet your needs. We also like it because there are nutrition videos, which most other apps do not even touch the nutrition side of fitness. It includes lots of mindfulness videos, and with a premium membership, you can get extra tips from professionals. One thing that really sets Nike apart is their Whiteboard Workouts. Workouts that you can bring to your gym and it will give you sets that will most likely put you on the equipment and machines you typically would walk right past. There is also a motivating achievement feature giving you badges for different categories, milestones, workouts per week, and streaks. You will see a shop features and a blog, because you don’t become a global brand leaving that out, but you definitely do not have to love Nike gear to love this app.

SOLUTION TWO
Peloton
NAME: Peloton – At Home Fitness (Running, cycling, yoga & HIIT)
PRICE: $12.99 month
EQUIPMENT: Light weights, heavy weights, resistance bands, Peloton bike
SPACE NEEDED: Varies for the workout, includes 6 feet by 6 feet space, running path, room for bike
TYPES OF WORKOUTS: Strength, cardio, running, cycling, yoga
BACKGROUND: Launched a few years back, Peleton created the online presence to enhance the bike workouts. It was a common misconception that the app would only be for people who owned Peloton bikes, but it actually covers a wide variety of live classes, recorded classes, and audio classes.
WHY WE LIKE IT: The Peleton app has a ton of content so it will grow with you as you grow stronger. It also offers classes geared to different styles of workout outs so you could potentially have a spouse or loved one join you for a sweat session. It tracks your history of classes you’ve taken, puts them on a calendar for an overview, and even has challenges like the 30-day programs you use for targeted results. Most people find their favorite instructor and stick with them. There is some engagement with them during certain classes, but the real gem of the Peloton app is the variety, skill level, and activity tracking. It also hooks up with your health app if you have an Apple iPhone. No real distractions with their blogs or links to other feeds, the focus of the app is on the workouts. For a workout app well under twenty dollars, you could even justify cutting the gym membership with this one if you have all the right equipment.

SOLUTION THREE
The Sculpt Society
NAME: The Sculpt Society: Megan Roup (#1 Cardio and Sculpt Workout)
PRICE: $19.99 month
EQUIPMENT: Light weights, resistance bands, ankle weights
SPACE NEEDED: 8 feet x 8 feet, but can modify movement and be done in 4 feet x 4 feet
TYPES OF WORKOUTS: Dance cardio, strength, yoga
BACKGROUND: Megan Roup has a cult-like following for her fitness classes. She has an approachable and encouraging style to her workouts, which have an updated dance fitness vibe. She is well known for dancing in the NBA and being to go-to guru for the Victoria Secret Models, but is known best for creating lean toned bodies with a positive undertone.
WHY WE LIKE IT: We like The Sculpt Society workout app for under twenty dollars has all the levels of workouts, live stream workouts, and prerecorded favorites. Many times we do not have the full hour to get a workout in. The Sculpt Society has shorter videos that will bring the burn to the point that you know you are making a difference but no holding it there so long that you are burned out for the next day or dread getting back on the app. Megan Roup has a great sense for when you are feeling the burn and lets you know to hang in there for a couple more. This would be a great app for travelers because you could bring a resistance band and even in a small hotel room, you could find space to get a workout in. This is also great if Megan fits your workout style because you will not waste any time trying to find your favorite instructors.
